Felix Cleve presents the paper, co-authored with Lea Höltgen and Philipp Hagedorn, at the 32nd Forum Bauinformatik online conference, September 9-10, 2021.

The paper "Implementation of an Open Web Interface for the Container-based Exchange of Linked Building Data" by Lea Höltgen, Felix Cleve and Philipp Hagedorn deals with the lossless exchange of 4D models using the ICDD standard and an openCDE platform.

In the context of their work an openCDE compliant webAPI was developed, which is able to do exactly that. ICDD containers can be uploaded to the platform ready-made as well as created step by step with several API calls. For this purpose, the API offers, among other things, routes for inserting individual files into the container, for creating linksets and for creating link relationships between the construction model and the construction schedule.
The functionality is demonstrated by a Java Script extension implemented in DESITE BIM, which can transfer existing 4D models within the software into an ICDD container on the platform.

The work was presented at the online conference of the 32nd Forum Bauinformatik on September 9-10, 2021.
