Visiting PhD with Philipp Hagedorn

19.05.2022

Philipp In Eindhoven

Our research assistant and PhD student Philipp Hagedorn is currently in Eindhoven for a research stay from April to July. At Eindhoven University of Technology he is working in the Research Group "Information Systems in the Build Environment (ISBE)".

At TU/e he continues his research in the area of rule-based validation of Linked Building Data in information containers. In particular, Philipp is investigating the creation of rules in the SHACL rule language and the execution of the rules on the data within ICDD information containers. The creation of rules requires not only the technical implementation but also the implementation of a user interface for the potential stakeholders and an understanding of the relationship between different data in the information containers. That is why requirements are first investigated before the concept is developed and implemented. The goal is to be able to use such rule sets to create so-called information requirements for the exchange of ICDD information containers.

On 29.04 the "Research Update" took place. Thereby all PhD students of the department present the current status of their dissertations to each other.

Philipp's stay in Eindhoven is supported by the RUB Research School within the framework of Project International (PR.INT). Project International supports international projects of doctoral students at RUB, for example research stays, laboratory visits, field research or invitations of visiting scientists to RUB.
