Olga Disputation

We are pleased to announce that Olga Golovina successfully passed her disputation on Monday. Her first examiner Prof. Dr.-Ing. Markus König as well as her second examiner Prof. Dr. Carl T. Haas came to a positive result!

"RIGHT-TIME SAFETY SYSTEM TO PREVENT CLOSE CALLS BETWEEN CONSTRUCTION WORKERS AND EQUIPMENT" : Olga Golovina's work deals intensively with the improvement of construction site safety. She critically examines existing detection systems of workers and construction equipment. Based on the advantages and limitations of these, she continues her formulation of a theoretical concept of the desired right-time safety system. And thus develops a system for avoiding collisions between pedestrians and active construction machines. Various experimental test setups and results of practical field tests in construction-like work environments are presented to validate the use of the system. This results in future potentials for safety-related knowledge generation, which she presents comprehensively.

We all congratulate you very much for your great work and wish you all the best!
